Terms of Use

Last updated: 28.09.2026

Welcome to SICLab. By accessing or using siclab.ro, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our website.

1. General Information

This website is operated by SICLab.

Throughout the website, the terms “we”, “us”, “our” and “SICLab” refer to SICLab, the operator of this online store.

By visiting our website and/or purchasing products from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and the applicable consumer protection legislation.

These Terms of Use do not limit or exclude any mandatory rights granted to consumers under applicable Romanian or European Union law.

2. Use of the Website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of SICLab or third parties.

You must not:

  • Use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, servers or systems;
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the website;
  • Reproduce, copy, distribute or commercially exploit website content without our prior written permission;
  • Use automated systems or other means to collect website content without our permission;
  • Provide false, misleading or fraudulent information when placing an order.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the website where necessary to protect our website, business, customers or legal rights.

3. Products & Availability

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, specifications and images are accurate and up to date.

However, minor differences in colour, texture, surface finish or appearance may occur, particularly with 3D-printed products, due to the manufacturing process, filament characteristics and screen settings.

Such minor variations do not constitute a lack of conformity where the product remains consistent with its description, functionality and intended use.

All products are subject to availability.

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify or discontinue products;
  • Update product specifications;
  • Limit quantities available for purchase;
  • Correct errors in product descriptions or information.

Where a product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, we will contact the customer and, where applicable, provide an appropriate solution or refund.

4. Pricing & Payments

Prices displayed on the website are shown in RON, unless another currency is specifically indicated.

Prices may be changed at any time. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted and confirmed, except where required by law, including cases involving an obvious pricing or technical error.

Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers.

SICLab does not have access to or store complete payment card details processed by third-party payment providers.

5. Orders & Acceptance

Placing an order through our website constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products.

An order is considered accepted when SICLab confirms the order and/or begins processing it, subject to applicable law.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order where there are legitimate reasons, including:

  • Product unavailability;
  • Obvious errors in pricing or product information;
  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery information;
  • Suspected fraudulent or unauthorized transactions;
  • Technical errors affecting the order;
  • Circumstances that prevent us from fulfilling the order.

If an order is cancelled after payment has been received, the amount paid for the cancelled order will be refunded using the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed with the customer or required by law.

6. Shipping & Delivery

Available shipping methods, estimated delivery times and shipping costs are displayed during checkout.

Delivery times provided by carriers are estimates and may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including carrier delays, customs procedures, strikes, extreme weather, technical problems or other force majeure events.

For orders placed by consumers, SICLab remains responsible for the goods until they are delivered to the consumer or to a third party designated by the consumer, unless the consumer independently arranged a carrier not offered by SICLab.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information.

If an order cannot be delivered because incorrect or incomplete information was provided by the customer, additional shipping costs may apply where permitted by law.

7. Returns, Withdrawal & Refunds

Consumers purchasing online may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal, subject to the exceptions provided by applicable law.

The conditions and procedure for exercising the right of withdrawal are described in our Refund Policy.

The right of withdrawal is separate from the consumer's legal guarantee of conformity.

Nothing in our Refund Policy or these Terms of Use limits any mandatory consumer rights provided by applicable Romanian or European Union legislation.

8. EU Legal Guarantee of Conformity

Products sold by SICLab to consumers are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity applicable under European Union and Romanian consumer protection law.

Under the applicable rules, SICLab is responsible for any lack of conformity that existed at the time the goods were delivered and that becomes apparent within two years from the date of delivery.

The legal guarantee applies to products that:

  • Do not correspond to their description or agreed specifications;
  • Do not have the functionality, compatibility or characteristics agreed with the consumer;
  • Do not correspond to the normal purpose for which goods of the same type are used;
  • Do not meet applicable requirements regarding quality, functionality, compatibility or safety;
  • Are otherwise not in conformity with the applicable legal requirements.

Remedies in case of non-conformity

Where a product is not in conformity, the consumer is entitled to the remedies provided by applicable law.

Depending on the circumstances, these may include:

  • Repair of the product;
  • Replacement of the product;
  • A proportionate reduction of the purchase price;
  • Termination of the sales contract and refund, where the legal conditions for such remedy are met.

Repair or replacement is carried out free of charge and in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.

Under Romanian law, repairs or replacements are generally carried out within a reasonable period agreed in writing with the consumer, which may not exceed 15 calendar days from the date the seller is informed of the lack of conformity, taking into account the nature and complexity of the goods and the nature and severity of the non-conformity.

Where a lack of conformity is identified shortly after delivery, Romanian law provides specific consumer remedies, including a right to replacement where the statutory conditions are met and the non-conformity is identified within 30 calendar days from delivery.

3D-printed products

SICLab products may be manufactured using 3D printing technology.

Minor differences in:

  • colour;
  • layer lines;
  • surface texture;
  • gloss or matte appearance;
  • small dimensional variations resulting from the manufacturing process

do not constitute a lack of conformity where the product remains consistent with its advertised characteristics, functionality and intended purpose.

However, these manufacturing characteristics do not exclude or reduce the consumer's statutory rights where an actual lack of conformity exists.

Damage, misuse and improper use

The legal guarantee does not make SICLab responsible for damage or defects caused exclusively by circumstances for which the seller is not legally responsible, including damage resulting from:

  • Improper or negligent use;
  • Use contrary to the product's instructions or intended purpose;
  • Unauthorized modifications or alterations;
  • Accidental damage;
  • Incorrect installation where the installation was not the responsibility of SICLab and the issue was not caused by inadequate installation instructions;
  • Excessive heat, chemicals or other environmental conditions outside the product's intended use;
  • Normal wear and tear, where applicable.

This section does not limit any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.

How to make a guarantee claim

If you believe that a product purchased from SICLab has a lack of conformity, please contact us at:

office@siclab.ro

Please provide:

  • Your order number;
  • The name of the product;
  • A description of the issue;
  • Photographs or videos showing the issue, where relevant.

We may request reasonable information necessary to assess the reported lack of conformity.

Consumers are not required to accept any contractual limitation that would remove or reduce their mandatory statutory rights.

9. EU Harmonised Legal Guarantee Notice

SICLab provides consumers with the information required regarding the EU legal guarantee of conformity.

The EU harmonised notice reminds consumers that they benefit from a minimum two-year legal guarantee of conformity for goods, without prejudice to any additional rights that may apply under national legislation.

The harmonised notice is applicable to online sales from 27 September 2026 and is intended to be displayed prominently on traders' websites.

Important: This legal guarantee is different from any voluntary commercial guarantee that a manufacturer or seller may offer.

SICLab does not provide a commercial durability guarantee unless such a guarantee is expressly stated for a specific product.

10. Intellectual Property

All content available on this website, including but not limited to:

  • Text;
  • Product descriptions;
  • Photographs;
  • Graphics;
  • Logos;
  • Designs;
  • Product designs;
  • Website layout;
  • Branding;
  • Original 3D models and digital designs created by SICLab

is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Unless otherwise stated, such content may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, published or commercially exploited without prior written permission from SICLab.

Purchasing a physical product does not transfer ownership of the underlying digital design, CAD model, 3D model or other intellectual property.

11. Product Use & Safety

Customers are responsible for using products according to their intended purpose and any instructions provided by SICLab.

Certain products may be designed specifically for use with espresso machines, coffee equipment or other technical equipment.

Where installation or modification is required, customers should ensure that they understand the relevant instructions and compatibility requirements before installation.

Products must not be used in applications for which they were not designed.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits SICLab's mandatory legal responsibilities concerning product safety or conformity.

12. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rights.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SICLab shall not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of the website or products where such liability may lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in this section limits:

  • The consumer's statutory rights;
  • The legal guarantee of conformity;
  • Liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such liability cannot legally be excluded;
  • Liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
  • Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

13. Privacy

Personal information submitted through the website is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By placing an order, customers acknowledge that their personal information may be processed as necessary to fulfil the order, provide customer support, process payments and comply with legal obligations.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Romania, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply under the laws of the consumer's country of residence or under applicable European Union legislation.

Consumers residing in other European Union Member States retain any mandatory rights granted to them by applicable consumer protection legislation.

15. Changes to These Terms

SICLab may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes in our services, products or applicable legislation.

The updated version will be published on this website together with the relevant update date.

Changes will not affect rights that have already arisen under an order or applicable law.
